Accolades of 'The Milkmaid'

In December 2020, The Nigerian Official Selection Committee announced 'The Milkmaid' as the country's official selection for the 93rd Academy Awards in the category of Best International Feature Film, the first ever successful submission of Nigeria to the Oscars. In the same month, The Milkmaid was nominated for eight awards at the 16th African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) winning five laurels for Best Film, Best Film in an African Language, Best Nigerian Film, Best Supporting Actress and Achievement in Make-Up.

At the 2021 Pan African Film Festival, Los Angeles,'The Milkmaid' received the Programmers’ Award for Best Narrative Feature. Also in 2021, 'The Milkmaid' received 14 nominations at the Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, winning 6 awards, including for Best Director and Best Film.
